Dr. Ke Cheng Earns AIMBE Professional Impact Award for Mentoring

The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) awarded Dr. Ke Cheng, the Alan L. Kaganov Professor of Biomedical Engineering, a 2026 AIMBE Professional Impact Award for Mentoring for his international leadership and service in cell therapy, biomaterials, and exosome engineering, and outstanding mentorship in training the next generation of scientists and engineers from a diverse background. This honor was presented at the annual AIMBE Banquet in Washington, D.C. on April 12.

AIMBE recognized Cheng with “The Mentoring Award” for his dedication to advancing the careers of the next generation of biomedical engineers. The AIMBE is a prestigious medical and bioengineering organization that recognizes excellence, advances public understanding, and works to accelerate medical and biological innovation.
